Changing wheels

Hi All,
My T6 has 16” alloys which I’d like to change. I’ve no desire to lower or change the suspension and would like to do a straight swap out if I could.
Does this restrict me to 16” wheels or could a go slightly larger without making any other changes?
I’d probably look at 17” or 18” if it’s hassle free.
