Caravelle Pop Top

Has anyone had a pop top fitted to a Caravelle with the air con vents still in place?
We have a California Ocean, but don't use it as much as we used to. The rear air con was one of the main reasons we bought it. The idea of a Caravelle does appeal as a bed can be made 'downstairs' and it has twin sliding rear doors, but it doesn't have a pop top. If anyone knows of a company that does this please let me know.

Have you considered a California Beach? Finding one with rear a/c would be the hardest part, but they are out there.

I'm sure I've seen someone doing it but can't remember where. If I remember correctly you have to extend the wires that go to the controls in the roof and find somewhere suitable to relocate them. There's ducting for the air con in the rear pillar (just above the HVAC unit) so you would need to re-route that to somewhere else with the big hole of the pop top.
Ours is a caravelle and we just took the simple option of ripping out all of the rear controls and leaving the HVAC behind the rear trim panels. The front air con works well enough on its own when driving so don't miss the bit we had ripped out

cmc Reimo will do a Reimo climatic and divert the vents, skyline roofs also do something… although feedback we had from both was that the airflow was much reduced after diverting it.

I looked into this a fair bit, and like above just removed the ceiling vents when I had a pop top in my shuttle. They capped the ceiling vents in the rear aircon but even in the heatwave we’ve just had the combo of the front vents and rear blower kept the back nice and cool.

Put the AC on recirculate and a T6 copes fine in most conditions with the added bonus keeping noxious road pollution out.
