Can I change my Awning?

Double checked and yes that’s the one. No modifications to the mounts or figments for awning. The F43 had the extra mounting plate needed specifically for it supplied with awning.

The only change I had to make was fixing an issue with the threaded inserts pulling out the mounts. I replaced with rev nuts.

Your rail is a Brandrup ?

We've decided on an F43 on a vamoose rail. Having a crisis of confidence at fitting stage... the brackets don't fit flush - did yours? IMG-20250523-WA0001.webp

I’ve just had a quote for supply fitting for an F45s. £999. That’s about £300 for the labour.
I’ve asked for a similar quote for the f43van, but at that sort of labour cost, I’d be better of buying a rivnut tool and sealant and doing it myself.
@retsray how did you get on with your install?

Ordered F43 which us due to be delivered soon.

Can anyone recommend a rivnut tool to use?

I have awning peg plates for securing the legs, do you also use tie down straps as well?

Bugger. I have a problem.
I’ve just lowered the front of the awning to let the rain drain off and the hex bolts have popped up a few threads and the whole thing is now lopsided, rotated to the right and too loose to drive.
Not helpful while I’m away in France.

Im going to try and re tighten them tomorrow when I can get my hands on some tools.

If it wont tighten down, what do I do?
Fit a nut underneath?

I’m pretty confident there should be a nut on that bolt anyway.
Could the nut have fallen off and caused this problem?

it never had a nut on it in the first place, the pic I posted is as it was when fitted, I only edit the pic to show the bolt in question and the rotation of tilt.

Probably user error on my part for lowering the front of the awning? I presumed it would be able to be lowered, but it failed as soon as I lowered it.

Have just checked the tightness of mine. We're OK.

Hope you get things sorted tomorrow.
