Ok so just got our T6 and having a westdubs poptop fitted next month. We want a wind out awning as well. What’s all this about vamoose rails and c rails and what comes with them? Thule or fiamma? Or is there others? Why is a vamoose rail so expensive?
I don’t get it so can someone on here please help?? 🤯🤯
Thank you.

If you want a wind out awning, you dont need the rails. A wind out awning can come with brackets that attach to the van. The Vammose rails (for example) are great if you want to attach a tent like awning (driveaway awning)

Thule, Fiamma, Dometic......... Think they all do the same job to be honest, Fiamma is most popular

You can, attach a drive away awning into your wind out awning cassette by the way too

Wind out awnings are typically around £700/£800 fitted

I’d have a go on someone else's first, there’s so many restrictions on weather conditions and many owners end up divorced.
Awnings are the Devils work.
You go camping to get outdoors and then spend money and time to make it seem like indoors…..IMO

Put the awning rail on the back burner for now if you're looking to buy a windout , as mentioned above you don't necessarily need both.
Ask westdubs what windout will work with that roof .
Thule are fitted to the California's.
Fiamma seem most common.
What side are you having it on?
We have no poptop and so I think we've decided on a fiamma f40van cuz it's sits flatter / lower profile.
Yours with a poptop will have to mount upright off the side so that it clears the roof .
