Camper Jam#17 2026 - (3th - 5th July 2026)

get your diarys sorted.

Taking place on the 3rd - 5th July 2026, Camper Jam is one of the largest, most recognised and hotly anticipated VW events in the UK.
A whole weekend dedicated to the VW community, celebrating everything from T1s to T6s and beyond.

Plus, we’ll be offering the same family-friendly vibe we’ve become so loved for. There’s something for all ages at Camper Jam, from tree climbing to craft workshops, live music to the infamous Disco Shed!

Our first time to this one. Went to Dubbed Out last year and loved it and heard this was better so fingers crossed :)
Can't compare, but been to CJ several times and definitely good. Many say it is 2nd to BusFest of all VW events. Make sure to book the posh loos nearer the time🚽, otherwise it's Festival loos only.💩👎

Im interested, but I'll be 62 by then and im a little concerned it might be a bit busy and noisy and I'll end up going all Falling Down halfway though the weekend.

Seriously, is this liable to appeal to someone who loves vans but who is getting on towards state pension territory?

Its the Volvo club annual bash that same weekend and that might be less stressful, but im willing to be convinced otherwise.

Im 62 already and it doesnt stop me. You can do as much as you like or as little. As I have said never been to this one but loved Brandon Block at Dubbed Out so you will find me in the dance tent at this one as well :) give it a try we only live once.

Thanks Fletch. Id sooner be on a stage playing than watching.

Not being able to drink also dampens my excitement at such gatherings.

I'll mull it over and discuss it with Mrs Sasquatch.

Hey 62 is nothing. Furthermore, the real crowd is in front of the stage and that is easily avoided with the event ground being so vast. Not everyone likes be squashed in the crowd or having his/her ear drums beaten up. Families come with young children and even dogs...but again, they avoid being right in front of the stage area and instead listen to the music, chat and sit on chairs or lie on blankets they bring over from the van.

Sasquatch I couldnt agree more. What instrument do you play. I play Bass have a Rickenbacker same as my hero Chris Squire (sadly not as good) been playing live for years such a buzz. Some of the musicians at these events are really good (some bad) I take Mrs Fletch she drinks enough for the both of us 🍷

Bass is my main instrument (I've got about 20, including a 4003S and a 4001, but im a Fender man atmheart), and mandolin is a close second. I can also play double bass and EUB, mandola, octave mandolin, bouzouki, irish bouzouki, and balalaika. I dabble with guitar, but its not really my bag, and I can play violin, although I dont have one so dont get to practice.

Not in a band at the moment but pick up sporadic work depping. I did a few weeks depping with St Cecilia last year (their regular man walked on them) and a weekend depping War of the Worlds at the O2 in May this year (their regular clank plank man was getting married and the needed a multi instrumentalist and I got to camp in the van at the O2 car park) and session work, mainly for adverts.

Have had the honour of auditioning for Rick Wakeman about 20 years back, but my good friend Lee Pomeroy got that. Mrs Sasquatch has health issues that prevent me working full time any more so breaking into the top flight session scene and doing albums or tours with big names isnt going to happen now, but the upshot is that I pick up the smaller jobs the likes of Lee aren't interested in because he has a mortgage to pay and needs a regular income. The downside is these smaller jobs often require weeks of unpaid prep learning the music for just a few days actual paid work, but its all playing to me.

Geddy Lee is my God, but Chris Squire would be in my top 5 for sure.

I've got more instruments scattered about the house. Amps can cabs wrapped up in the garage, but where at all possible now I DI and use IEMs. It's easier on the back and the eardrums.
