Any links?

This original advert would suggest it’s a panel van and not a factory Kombi if that matters to you:

Yeah I realise that now but aren’t all kombis put together at mr-st factory and start life as panel vans ?
I appreciate people are now buying vans and modifying ie campers/combis
I can go and get a brand spanking t7 for less and pay to be converted to a combi over a period of time but not keen on the transit style…. Just thinking what people thought of this van looks good loads of good reviews from company just a little wary as I’ve never spent £35k plus on a car/van

No genuine kombis are built in the factory!
It wouldn’t put me off it not being from factory some might say it’s better. Genuine kombis have issues with leaking side windows which many have replaced.
Is it plus VAT ?as it says VAT qualifying

Agreed, finding a clean panel van is a good move. Put your own mark on it. Its what we did and no regrets.

Yeah I was just pointing it out as it’s not clear in the advert, otherwise it looks a nice van and seems to have come from a VW dealer before being modified? I’d want to check the V5 was updated for number of seats and if it’s just as easy to insure - assume it is given they are very common on here.

I’ve got a 23 Plate Pure Grey Kombi and can certainly attest to the windows leaking other than that it’s been great and that certainly looks better than mine with a bit of kit on it as well 👌🏻

Have you driven the 110PS? My only concern would be if it’s a bit underpowered for whatever your use case is.

Also i was on the fence spending so much on a Transporter, but now it’s by far the best car I’ve ever had, it does everything!

Just my opinion but I drove a T6.1 110bhp 5 speed and a T6 140bhp 6 speed back to back. They were both 'empty' vans except for rear seats. The T6 felt like it had just so much more power. And longer legs with the 6 speed gearbox. Im sure the 110 overall would be fine for most but testing back to back I couldnt settle for the 110 and the 5 speed gearbox. I get in my 150bhp 6 speed and it really goes, no issues with overtaking. But again this is just my opinion.

Hi the vat is in price so i assume the vat might just be the amount paid at vw garage when first purchased ?
As for leaking side windows is this the ones in rear passenger compartment as I wouldn’t mind if they where none opening sealed units

Thanks for info
I’ve only driven enterprise vivaros a couple of times on my yearly pilgrimage fishing in Ireland so not sure ?
That was my only concern but I will only be carrying a bit of fishing gear …. Trying to get best of 2 worlds practical fishing car plus me and her going out in it.

I never drove a VW150 hp 6 gears, that must be fantastic..
But I drove for more than 100k a Vito 2.2 L 140 hp, with about 350 Nm torque. Excellent machine.
Yes, the Vito was better at full speed full load on the highway, relaxed down at 2000 rpm, but everywhere else I like more my little110hp - 5 gear T6.1.
Much more progressive torque. Pulls from down 1100 up to 3000 rpm without losing a beat. Zzzzzzz. Like an electric. Very rarely you need to go over 2000, except on highway stretches. And It doesn't complain to stay for hours running in the hot at 3000 rpm there. Fantastic engine. Very well scaled gear, you don't need to use it too much. Went up and down the Alps with about 800 kg load (T32) never had any issue, good roads and bad ones, summer and winter. Never had problems to take over too, for the few vehicles that go slower than me. Very well balanced drivetrain, a pleasure to drive it.
For.
A.
Van.
........
Then, If you want a sports car, then maybe you need something else. Like a 200 hp twin turbo TDI, DSG and all, maybe. Or a Porsche Cayenne S.
A matter of expectations.

So they have mentioned VAT qualifying so they paid VAT when purchased then they are VAT registered so claimed the VAT back so there is still VAT owed and that stops when someone ie a buyer not a company pays it.
If your saying it’s all in and the vans 39k then your paying £32,500 plus VAT bringing it to £39k
If they aren’t VAT registered they would have paid the VAT and it wouldn’t be mentioned in the advert.
It looks a lovely van just make sure you know about the VAT it does put some people off👍

I think this is ALOT of money….
Depends if you are willing to wait and travel. Be patient and you will find something.
Are you open to dsg or specifically manuals?

It is a lot of money but looking at the current market 22/23/24 models with low miles they are all wanting 40k plus and no I’m not fussy on dsg/manual… been looking now 3 months and getting desperate 😂

There is a pure grey dsg 21plate with 33k miles on fb going for 38.6k if any good?
I picked up a t6.1 sportline pv black edition with 13.5k miles for well under 40k the other day. They are out there…

What is mr-st?

If you can go and buy a t7 for less then don’t you think there is a reason for that?

They all came from VW Dealers once upon a time

MS-RT. or M-Sport Road Technology, has partnered with Ford to do fancied up version of the Transit Custom and Connect. You can buy their modified product in Ford dealers, such as their partnership, so to answer the OP, MS-RT do not complete all (or any) Kombi conversions on Transporters.

I wouldn't be surprised to learn that MS-RT would have approached VW Commercial to modify the Transporter, but I don't think that would do VW any favours.
If your saying it’s all in and the vans 39k then your paying £31,200 plus VAT bringing it to £39k
£32,500 + VAT

It's priced at the bottom end of the Kombi market, probably reflecting it's a conversion
It's a low-powered 5 speed van with some Kombi kit of potentially unknown origin bolted in to it.
Similar age and mileage, twin slider factory Kombis, with more power and potentially better spec can be had for about the same sort of money.

I know who MSRT are, it was in jest. Still they are nothing to do with VW.
