Buying advice. 2023 BiTDI.

I have no idea why people compare van performance to superbike or even car performance.
It's a van.
It can carry roughly a tonne.
My not very fast T6 can very comfortably keep up with today's traffic without thrashing it.
Last week in a variable speed limit part of the M6 it was as fast as a Ferrari over about 10 miles.
And those set up as a commercial vehicle are stuck at lower speed limits anyway.

Perhaps so they can casually mention to anyone who gives a flying fk that they have a superbike or a Ferrari.
I worked with a bloke who was always asking others ‘What’s the time?’ while verifying the answer on his Rolex.

Perhaps you should read the final sentence of post #20.

I'm sorry to hear that, but in these enlightened times it shouldn't cause you much of a problem. You could earn good money at the circus.

One brand i will not buy is the rolex. Apart from them being ugly ( eye of the beholder) .
Its an well known fact that rolexs owner , recall watches from the market place , reuse the movements and recycle the cases .
Why ???
To keep prices obscenely and ARTIFICIALLY high.
They should be sued and fined for market manipulation.
Doesn't matter to me though, I don't like em , maybe the hulk , but no others .
Would you go about your day with a 15 grand watch on your arm ,? Tags are just day to day timepiece, expect for the tag calibre 5 automatic , with clear crystal glass back plate

Plus as you're probably very much UNAWARE , you can't just walk into a jewellers and buy a submariner lol.
Unless you have previously purchased "cheaper" models already from them.
Then they will let you JOIN the 2 year waiting list lol lol.
They are pretentious as fuk

Back in 1981 my wife bought me a Rolex Submariner whilst we were posted to Hampshire in the Army. I never wore it as did not feel right at the time as a Corporal, so left in the box while she paid for it monthly at £79.00 - a lot of money in those days. It cost £1175.00 pounds (still had receipt in the box) new.
More forward to 2016 whilst visiting friends and family in Norfolk I remembered the watch was with family so took it to Rolex dealer in Norwich....... He was amazed it had never been worn, but did say it should have been serviced!!!! (really!) I asked what would you give me for it now.......
After 15 minutes of waiting he came back and offered £14000.00 .................... I tried not to faint took a deep breath and said "£15000.00" and you can have it now. Seven days later money was in the bank.
I was so happy I bought the wife a MacD and give her a hug there and then. We sold then our motorhome (UK reg) can back to Spain and bought our Spanish reg VW Campervan 3 months later.
