Build thread of a North East newbie

Getting down to the final bits of the puzzle now. Fridge in and I reckon I can now say that it's just odds and ends left on inside to officially be camper ready. Oh and I changed the front and rear badges, just couldn't live with the teal colour as it was a bit loud for me. Happy with it and how it looks, time will tell if I ever actually sleep in it whether it was all worth it haha.1000026816.jpg

Solar panel now fitted, went for a 220w unit mounted on roof bars and it's very discreet. I'm real happy with it although it's not exactly done a lot of work yet obviously with this weather. 1000029028.webp

I also had a decent run out to the Lakes a couple of months ago and it acquitted itself so well. Felt good climbing in the back after a 10miles hike to a nice warm van with a cuppa and some grub.

Not much more done, due for a service and going to be booking it in to a local indie for that. Apart from that it's had a matching microwave installed. Erm, yeah, that's about it. Haha. I had someone stop me to ask me random questions about the van and particularly the wheels today, was nice to have someone praise the van. 1000029987.webp1000030016.webp

255/40 R20 all season tyres. Speedo now matches gps exactly and ride is pretty compliant, certainly no worsr than stock from what I remember of stock wheels and tyres anyway.

Not many options for a T32 in that size but there are some Kumho's so that's another potential option when mine needs new tyres.

Well, after doing a service on the van in preparation I decided to take some time off work and treat myself to some time off. Had first proper trip out in the van over last few days, and spent some time down at RAF Lakenheath and RAF Mildenhall, just me, my camera gear, some food and some alcohol free lager. Have to say, totally worth the effort. The van was awesome. 600 miles, no dramas. Happy!

They are, and I know you have a set as well now. They genuinely get a lot of compliments. I reckon the style and colour work perfectly with the grey.

Latest addition, Wolfbox G900 Pro dashcam and rear camera setup. Spent a day installing over weekend, fishing the cables through etc wasn't the easiest but just took my time and dressed them in properly. Camera mounted just under rear licence plate cover. Have to say it's a great bit of kit, image is exceptionally clear and it's really simple to use. Early days but would recommend. Thanks as well to the guys and girls of the forum that have done the install before and shared fuse layouts etc, saved me some messing around.1000041678.webp1000041679.webp1000041683.webp1000041684.webp

Added some extra storage in the form of an overhead locker and then whacked on the Cymru Camper logo I forgot to spec when I ordered the furniture originally. Summer trip ready now. Time to get out and enjoy it.

Vankraft folding double seat bracket added. Decided to go for the 5degree version. Missus has confirmed that it does seem a more comfortable position. Downloaded the template measurements and cut myself a 6mm MDF panel for seat back too. Easy enough job. 1000042187.webp
