Broken….something?! Help!!

It looks like the spring doesn’t sit square onto the pad underneath it at the bottom. Like it’s overhanging on the right hand edge? Hopefully that’s fine then & I'm just a bit paranoid now I’ve had an issue!

They’re just under 2 years old. Which is a bit earlier than I’d have expected to have experienced an issue really but I guess anything that’s mass produced will churn out slightly weaker parts here & there…
I can’t see anything unusual from the photo but don’t be surprised if the rubber seats need replacing, apparently OEM ones are still the best option and they aren’t expensive.

Brilliant thanks mate. Just need to get booked in somewhere asap now 👍🏼👍🏼

I have a pair of rear adjusters that I don't use / need for STX coilovers, if you can't get it sorted quickly.

I'm at the other end of the country from you, so would need posting.

Thanks Phil that may well be the answer for me. Simon @BognorMotors is calling KW on Tuesday to see what sort of lead time they give. Also @Robbogez might have some as well. I’ll hopefully know by Tuesday morning what I need to do, and will let you know if that’s okay?

I’m taking my little boy up to Anfield next weekend for his first live football match so I’ve got 4 days to get it sorted 😩

Of course this would happen at the start of a Bank Holiday Weekend. Always the way!!

Thanks again mate ❤️

Bloody Bank Holidays!
My day didn’t go as planned either!

Went all the way there then came home as couldn’t tax the car! The document number was invalid on the old log book as they already sent it off so didn’t have the original. They are paying for all travel costs, lunch and are delivering the car to my daughter at work on Tuesday/ Wednesday along with a full tank of petrol.
I suppose it was good though as didn’t have to drive 3.5 hours home!
At least I saw the car so all good 👍🏼

Shame you couldn’t bring it back for her yesterday mate but that’s a lovely car she’s getting delivered on Tuesday 😍

Another two days of taking her into London to the vets she works in is the only downside.
At least the kids are off skool which makes the journey better!

Hope you get your bus fixed before Anfield!

It’s been lovely driving around the quieter roads the last few weeks hasn’t it!

Cheers mate. If it’s remotely possible that it can be fixed in time then I’ll make sure it happens. He’s been a Liverpool fan for about 3 years now, I’m a Saints fan but I wouldn’t wish that on my worst enemy let alone my little boy haha

I’m not sure how much punishment / life these shocks are supposed to take but it might be worth considering that if it’s happened once it can happen again.
There’s only 3 full coils on that stumpy spring, hardly a spring with todays road surfaces.

Just to round this thread off, Simon @BognorMotors managed to get hold of KW on Tuesday, by Thursday he had the two new rear adjusters. This morning at 08:00 the van was in their workshop, by lunchtime I was home. All sorted & ready to take to Liverpool on Sunday.

I cannot thank everyone at BMVS enough for the help and support I’ve received with getting this sorted at such short notice. I could see how flat out busy you all are today and it means the world that you were able to shoehorn my problem into the mix. Oli, you and your team are absolute heroes mate 🙏🏼

Also thanks so much to everyone who has offered spares & guidance, either on this thread, in DM’s or via WhatsApp. The Forum really is a lifesaver in times like this and I’m forever grateful ❤️

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Cheers 🍻
