Broken electrical connector plug HELP

I attempted the `easiest‘ mod this morning of swapping the back lights but some numpty has got there first and broken the little clip you push back to disconnect one of them (T6)
before I bugger it right up, any advice?

There will be a part number on the connector, stick it into Google and you’ll find the part. I assume you have the pin removal tool.
If it’s just the retaining clip that‘s damaged you could just opt to tape the connector together, there are no forces in action to pull it apart, just vibration.

thank you
i just need to get the thing apart for a start!
any ideas?
brute force is my first option

If the locking tab is broken it should come apart easily, photo would help.

It was the tab on the female side of the plug connected to the van; so I went at it with a screwdriver and got it off!
The new lights are now fitted and working!
Sides and front to go now, what could possibly go wrong

Good, have faith and if in doubt use a bigger hammer!
