Brake wear sensor

I've been searching, probably with the wrong keywords though. I just changed the front brake pads and noticed that the pad with the sensor had almost 3 times the material left compared to the other pad. Is this normal or has some daft fitter screwed up?

My guess would be something has seized, was it pulling to one side?

Same on both sides bizarrely. Slider pins nicely greased too. I'll see if the rears are doing the same as I'm changing them in the morning. Just seems a bit weird.

It's not uncommon for the pads too wear slightly different rates..

After a recent trip to the Dealer for Service and Cambelt job, ( we had the dealers do it as we are in a 2yrs extended warranty ) : Cambelt + Water Pump Replacement - Official guidance


At the time, they advised that the rear pads were 90% worn.

which as we all know is an easy money spinner for them, I'm sure every time I've walked into the dealers they taken one look am me and the van and said "Pads & discs all round -Sir? " without even checking.

anyway we know there game, so i politely declined their offer to do the Pads &...

Were the pads sticking in the carrier? It's pretty common for one of the pads to be sticking more than the other and cause this to happen.
