I've been searching, probably with the wrong keywords though. I just changed the front brake pads and noticed that the pad with the sensor had almost 3 times the material left compared to the other pad. Is this normal or has some daft fitter screwed up?

Same on both sides bizarrely. Slider pins nicely greased too. I'll see if the rears are doing the same as I'm changing them in the morning. Just seems a bit weird.
At the time, they advised that the rear pads were 90% worn.
which as we all know is an easy money spinner for them, I'm sure every time I've walked into the dealers they taken one look am me and the van and said "Pads & discs all round -Sir? " without even checking.
