I remember when diesel was a lot cheaper than petrol.

I wonder the pump need to charge or pump from the underground tank. It takes a little while to reach the pump nozzle. Is this the same for all pumps do the units start from first squeeze do pumps normally poor on fist squeeze immediately?. Is this a national thing or just a few pumps or one garage? Could it be fraudulent charging? What was that on the image an advisory informing about the short delay in checking vehicle identity on cctv before authorisation. Not sure that I have seen that but then the better half fills I guard the vehicle so may miss that sort of thing. Big Brother!

We all remember when diesel was being pushed by government as the preferred fuel of choice. Just another example of a top-down policy that has had to be recanted.

I thought it great, diesel engines developed to unprecedented refinement gave great range and power for the fuel used. A safer fuel to handle more resistant to sparks ect.
