Blast down the big road

Just take it out for a spirited blast down the motorway ... that's what they tell you when you need to clear that engine management error, isn't it?

Light refused to extinguish despite a couple of long distance runs.

Had just resigned myself to the expense when a failure to coordinate resulted in a brief visit to the top of the reported rev range ... no more engine management light :)

They don't put that one in the manual.

If you get a carista and set it up for a dpf clean it gives you instructions to drive for at least 30 mins at a speed exceeding 40mph with revs between 2k and 2.5k

Glad you got it sorted. Hopefully you had at least a quarter of a tank of fuel.

Im not so sure that's a thing with the orange engine light.

But im assuming you are referring to the orange DPF light and not the Orange MIL engine light?

If so, as above, a 30-45min long drive will help clear the DPF.
