bit busy atm . . . so ill give it a tester over the next day or so.

.

Here we go . . . Fitting and Test.

(Snow & Ice windscreen cover)

can be used as a sun blocker too.

1671716918741.png

unwrapped on the floor its very similar to the car one . . .

1671716958654.png

laying loosely id say it covers 95% of the screen . . . . with just a slim section either side of the screen at the bottom exposed.

the wipers are completely covered . . .

1671717064697.png

the side wings are designed to be closed in the door. . . . and there is enough wing to do that. . .

1671717115220.png

1671717129333.png

the side mirror covers needed a look at though . .

the mirrors are two deep to fit in the covers and only push on about half way.

1671717180827.png

getting the scissors out, . . .

and cutting halfway allong the bottom edge gives us enough room for them to fit on all the way.

1671717284621.png

like this:

1671717303900.png

overall it fits very nice. . . .

the sewn in magnets are very week as pointed out in some of the reviews, . . . .

but i dont think they are needed.

the wings keep it in place, and I'm sure you could fit it under the windscreen wipers if it was going to be very windy?

this is with the wiper flap magnet onto the bonnet

1671717339696.png

and this is with the flap tucked into the bonnet void . . . . . .

1671717514744.png

this is the small gap thats not covered in the lower corners . . . . .

1671717554096.png

1671717566622.png

the final result . . . . .

1671717593582.png

.

im very happy with that . . . .

it fits fine, (with the side mirror mod)

its easy to put on and quick to remove.

its same four layer construction as the car one.

it didnt come with a storage bag like the others which is a shame. . . . but no biggy. ( i suppose i could keep the plastic bag it was sent in?)

++++++++++++++++

this is the one i went for :

Size Name: 150x120CM

@Dellmassive. Looks good and now that you've bought it, we're hopefully guaranteed NOT to get another frost this winter.
im thinking we are deffo going to get cold ice/frost at some point during Jan & Feb.

maybe not snow, but definatly Frost

and now they are talking about this cold weather front inbound.

1671718851404.png

"The post-Christmas cold snap is expected to strike on December 26 and last well into January.

WX weather charts indicate it may even continue for several weeks, with -11C winds predicted for northern England and Scotland.

It could see a repeat of this month's icy blast, which caused chaos on Britain's roads, railways and runways.

The mercury fell to as low as -17.3C in Braemar, Aberdeenshire - the coldest temperature since February 11, 2021 - before rising dramatically during what was dubbed the "big thaw"."

Hopefully it will undermine any train drivers' strikes!

look at this . . . .

I've even got a "Grammar Definitions" cheat sheet printed out and laminated.

...

to lighten the load for @Loz

but it doesn't define the spacing and separation parameters . . . . . . .

Fairplay @Dellmassive I think your posts are great. And the way they are written make them easy to follow!

Wasting too much time on the forum here.... but it is a break from Blippi and Oliver Roma and Dianna!

No excuses either for when the next big freeze kicks in either!!

That screen guard looks fab Dell! Not sure those oven mitts will prevent burns when taking that hot roasting tin out of the oven!

I think you have been cheated, someone has watered it down. We had minus 10 the other night, my minus 15 was still liquid as I topped up in morning.
It was Halfords through :slow rofl: . Now filled it with some German stuff on my way to Spain and it was fine at -9.

Halfrauds have an £8 telescopic one I picked up a couple of days ago. Actually works really well for those of us with arch gap OCD….

Last cold period it bloody fell apart!
Kept it in the van over night, extended it in the morning to use, locking collar exploded in my hands and the two halves fell apart.

Oh well. I'm just going to pop rivet the two halves together and get some radiator pipe lagging along the handle.
Not like I haven't got the space to store it extended in a LWB van :slow rofl:

Another plus point for a LWB.
