Battery control panel 0%

Our control panel is saying that the battery percentage is 0 and the voltage is 0 however the fridge, lights and usb ports are still working?? Really confused. We have hooked the van up to EHU but it’s not changing anything on the control panel??

It’s really difficult to suggest anything as we don’t know how your van electrics are configured.
Do you have any sort of manual or written description of what you have ?

Post some pics of the leisure battery and shunt.

This is normally caused by the shunt being wired incorrectly, which will cause a iffy reading.

Top left - electric hook up battery charge.
Top right - water pump
Bottom left - lights
Bottom right - fridge

It could be the meter which has become open circuit from the battery. Check the meter's connections.

assuming its a standard 100ah lead acid. . .

you would need to set the meter battery rated capacity as a 50ah battery (due to SLA 50% DoD)

...



then fully charge the battery with a smart mains charger to sync the 100% SOC.

then see how you get on.

So as we thought.

Standard wet flooded SLI battery.

Not AGM or other.

So the 50% dod applies.

Set the battery capacity to 50ah...

Does the fridge etc work when not connected to ehu. Are all of those switches turned off, don't they allow the 12v circuits to operate.

So it charged overnight and was on 100% this morning but then when my dad went in the van it went down to 0% in about 15 minutes! So strange
