Leisure battery draining

Hi,

Have a 75 leisure battery.

Never noted a problem. Had a dash cam uninstalled last couple of weeks.

Van has sat for a day. Noticed BM2 at 0%?! With voltage as 9

No load, fridge, lights on etc.

Plugged into house EHU and charged up to 100%.

Just checked again now and BM2 as below?!

Any ideas?

Could the ‘professional uninstall of dashcam from leisure caused a problem??’ Could it be the bm2? (Hab lights still turn on fine?!)

Many thanks for any input.

Bw

Chris

Just more info for anyone who ‘speaks this language of electrics’

Charged up again EHU to 100%, left on charge for another 30min.

Checked again in 20mins, as below….

Any ideas clever people?

No issue with starter battery and van starts fine and jumps into charging via scr.

Something is parasitic drawing off leisure you reckon?

Has uninstall of camera caused some
Beef? It’s been the only change?!

Many thanks for any thoughts

Looks good to me.

Ignore the % the bm2 says.

Check the 14day plot....

As long as the battery voltage stays above 12.0v you are good.

Post your plot below.

Have you got access to a meter to check the voltage across the battery to compare to the BM2? What was the voltage at 100%?, I take the % voltage as just a guide

Not sure how to check 14 day plot. Each time I open BM app, it reads a number.

This morning was 0% 9v

Fully charged was up at 13-14.

A short period later, back at 1% 11ish as above pic

Fully charged again to 100%

But immediately started dropping with no draw on it?!

It is currently as below.

But again this is just minutes later with no lights no fridge no nada on?!

Sorry if I am being really thick

I have a clamp meter and a multi meter but I do not have a clue how to use?!

Again, maybe I should just run for the hills;)

I have put some feelers out re: hab side electrics in Nw but not really making many inroads.

Thank you all for patience

Set your multi meter to dc volts and measure across the battery terminals. Below is a good guide to the battery state

Are you 100% sure there is nothing connected to it other than the BM2 ?

Pete

But the plot looks interesting..... Doesn't drop below 12.0v at all.

so, thoughts?

Order of priority?

Solar onto sca rails (100w initially but modular ability to upgrade to 200) maxing out budget

Vs

Swapping leisure for lifepo and dc to dc

Both dependent on finding someone to install (the age old full carpet interior rearing it’s head again (as per prev dash cam saga)).
