Awning mounting Question

I am looking at getting the F43 Van 300 awning for my 6.1 SWB and was wondering if they did a quick release mounting bracket. I don't want the awning on the van all the time only when I am camping so would like to easily remove it as and when I need to.

Thanks in advance 👍🏻👍🏻

Not sure about the f43van .
Has it got a poptop or roof bars ? If not then you could consider an f40van , these fit without drilling the van and can be removed in a couple of minutes.

No poptop but does have roof bars. Maybe thats the option and I swap them over as needed??

Or maybe consider a roll out awning like a direct 4x4 type thing that you could attach to your roof bars ?
I'm just offering up ideas here as I had the same thoughts when looking at ours .
I may still revert back to the roof bars idea myself just so I can fit solar .
Have you looked at thule windouts ?

It would also be for my dogs when at work on site (my work not the dogs 🤪🤪) to have some shade/shelter if I had the side door open so not to sure about the drive away/roll out ones. I will take another look though.

I did have a peek at Thule and not sure why I didn't continue, I will take another look at their offerings, any you would recommend?

I am open to any and all ideas👍🏻👍🏻

Having recently just removed my F43 awning I just just had 4 bolts to remove and then lift it off. Mine is mounted along with awning rail mounts so just leave the plates that attach to van roof with 4 revnuts and the rest is removed.

So this is one of the plates left on van and the rest lifts off with awning.

Thats my thing, I dont really want holes left in the roof if I remove it. I guess it needs to be mounted to the roof bar mounts if poss.

Hi, I'm looking into awnings at the moment, and I also have a poptop. I would love to see some more photos of the F43 awning fitted to the brackets and to understand the relationship with the top of the sliding door and poptop roof when closed (side shot). Is that a Vamoose rail or another brand?

Also I cannot find anything like the bracket shown in this photo on the Fiamma website here? Any help would be much appreciated.

EDIT: I have just found your write up about fitting it :) Very Helpful Bertie Blue Project

Thank you So much - this is very helpful and I will post some pictures when I get mine fitted 😍

Following advice and inspiration from @chimpusmaximus and other F43 owners, I got the F43 Van awning and Vamoose combo fitted.

I like the integrated legs, the magnetic handle and the plastic end caps, went for the 3m for the LWB which is perfect, being quite tall it is fitted at the top of the slots, but could be lower if required without fouling the sliding door

I took it back to Lee at Berkshire Poptops who did an excellent job installing my Skyline Roof, Windows and Diesel Heater last summer.

Looking forward to the sun coming back out! ☀️
