Awning fixing kit

Does anyone know if you can buy a long length of anything to replace the short lengths figure of 8 for an awning fixing kit.

If you could.The issue I have is that the figure of 8 plastic rods tend to part from each other allowing water to drip through. The only solution so far is to join them with blue tac. Two small rubber tubes glued together with a split along the length of each one is what I am looking at to design. The problem is finding the right diameter tubing strong enough hold.

2 pieces of strategically placed gaffer tape to join the 3 pieces together.
Just tape the top side to stop them parting and can still be folded up when it comes to packing up .

I have discovered a solution. you can buy clamps to fit over the ends of the figure of eight to prevent them from moving.

Hi, I'm getting there. I've had some prototypes manufactured and tested. I just need to tie up some details with the manufacturer when I'm back from my holiday.

It's taken longer than planned to get all the testing done but it's looking promising but I want to get it right before it hits the market.

You will be one of the first people I contact when it's ready though.
