I had similar! Was washing the van at home a couple of days later when youngest son spotted the damage. Rang them and they asked me to pop in.

I was just calm with them and explained why I believed it was them who damaged the rim. They had the wheel refurbished without a quibble

That’s why I didn’t phone when I’d just seen it or go back down there. Would have been a tough ask.
Stewed on it a while. Still angry, but in control.

Is it possible to E Mail the pictures to them ASAP? That way you will have a time/ date so that they can't say that the damage was caused a good while later. That way you will also have an audit trail of your complaint. If they've recorded the mileage of the van on a receipt then I would also take a photo of your mileage to show that the van hasn't been driven a long distance before reporting the damage - yes they could say it was done within yards but why not add to your case?

I wouldn't just narrow it down to Portsmouth, I've heard bad reports about them in the past so avoid all their branches, same goes for Kwik-Fit.

Looks like they parked the van on the kerb at speed as well. Any kerb outside the garage to park the van on? If yes they know it’s been them to damage it.

They have accepted responsibility and agreed to pay for a refurb.
It’s the best I could have hoped for, but I’d rather not have to do it at all.
I have a set of steels to put on.
