Aussie with Siri/carplay issue , and recommended reverse camera.

Might as well as about all niggles - I have a 18 build t6 , just recently purchased. It came with the optional app head unit ( I believe RCD340 ?) with carplay.

Firstly - works great when it does.

It will drop out after a few phone calls via SIRI (siri stops responding) , or occasionally upon the stop start feature , or just randomly. This is fixed by pulling the cord out , and plugging back in again but this shouldnt be a thing at all.

I've done abit of searching and it seems like this is a known issue ? Do I have any options here ?

Next up - what is a recommended camera for this head unit ?
As its a ute there isnt a boot , so a normal camera should suffice.
Are any other modules / wiring / VCDSing required ontop ?

No expert ..but regarding Siri and carplay (Apple) all rely on the signal to your phone And how it’s connected to your head unit ( cable or Bluetooth) I’d I try a cable connection...also Apple iphone’s often play up if an update is over due
Sometime my connection fails if I turn on radio before starting engine First.....
However I didn’t like paying extra for CarPlay from VW..so got a new Kenwood head unit , dashcam ,camera fitted all comparable and tested....sometimes it’s just a gremlin..could just be you need to reset Bluetooth settings
