Are DIY Paint touch-ups any good?

I've got a number of scratches and rust spots appearing on my reflex silver VW T6 and am wondering whether it's possibly to do a good job with a touch up kit, whether I should get it done professionally or whether I'm making a fuss about nothing.

Not sure about the scratch, but for stone chips I use a dremmel to remove as much as the rust without making the damaged area larger then I use:

NO NONSENSE ZINC GALVANISING SPRAY

Just shake up then spray some into a old lid (jam jar, whatever...) then use an artists fine tipped brush to touch up. Layer up if possible for better results. It's a remarkable colour match for us with a reflex silver van.

I have a clear lacquer touch up that I use for stone chips on our oryx white van. It’s not a colour match obviously, but it seals the paint & doesn’t look any worse than the chip.

That scratch looks like it might polish out.
With the chips you need to remove the rust, don't just paint over it.
