Anybody know what this is?

Hi all
I've just changed my wipers and I noticed this sitting on the scuttle between the bonnet and windscreen on the drivers side. It's made from polystyrene and has a single ball bearing but looks like there should be two.
I had a mechanic friend plug his diagnostics in a while ago and assumed it may be part of his kit. He said it isn't
I don't suppose any of you knowledgeable lot know it is?

There are probably similar photos on the notice board in the factory where the van was made with the words “Missing. Please return to…”

Probably picked it up from a stray model plane at some campsite this summer.

Would there be a loft too, maybe some interesting antiques roadshow goodies stashed behind the chimney?
Given the treasure that can be found in a Transporter scuttle I can barely imagine the excitement of sifting through the contents of one of those grey lucky boxes motorhomes have looking for a recently swallowed Fabergé egg.
