Another van shades question

Hi folks, so I'm about to purchase my next transporter (T6 this time after my previous T6) and and looking at van shades. The T6 has a tailgate and I was wondering how people have found the rear window Vanshade offering? From the images on the website, it appears it significantly reduces the glass area....have people found this to be ok or annoying? Obviously they're a few ££'s so don't want to experiment with it if the general consensus is that it makes the opening rather small. I'm happy with the others I 'need'!

I don't have the van shade myself but a friend of mine does. It's the reason I decided against the tailgate shade as it's so nice having a huge window to see out of.

I'm just using the suction cup thermal thing for now but was thinking of putting curtains.

Thanks, it does look like a large amount of the rear window is hidden with these.

We have Vanshades, and that was one of my concerns, but honestly, I shouldn't have worried. Had them approaching 3 years now and it still leaves a massive aperture. One bonus is you can position stickers on the tailgate (yes, T6Forum included) and they remain proudly on show from the outside, but don't impede the view from the inside.

Having had both Vanshades and Swellshades on tailgate T6's, I'd say I prefer the look of the Swellshades and the functionality of the Vanshades.....
