another new T6 owner

Good evening one and all, just moved up from my 2005 T5 van to a year old T6 highline (102hp)
got a long list of things I'd like to do with it (wheels, spoiler etc) but I'd first like to get some satnav fitted.
I would really like to go down the route of discover media, does any one know if this is an easy retro fit?

thanks

Neil

Can't be done at the moment, head units care coded to chassis vin.. Only aftermarket

I have a 516, while it looks factory ish, its not as good as the 9 year old Kenwood I had in my Eclass, by all accounts the Pioneer is the better option. Try before you buy, wish I had!

BTW, welcome along, sorry for being rude and not greeting before, out and about at the moment..

It is possible to have the discover media unit but it needs to be a new one and not out of another vehicle due to the VIN coding
VW charge a ridiculous price for a new (£1500 ish) but if you hunt around online you can find them a lot cheaper, i would avoid ebay/remote buying just incase its a second hand one, there is a place in London that does them for around £800 fitted

Hi, welcome to the t6 endless shopping, looking forward to seeing some pics :)

Thats the place i was thinking of but they list on ebay cheaper and fitted (ps the one you linked is not the standard T6 one)

Genuine VW Volkswagen - Discover Media Navigation - with DAB Radio | eBay
They do a marginally cheaper one without DAB aswell but remember if you dont have DAB at the moment you wont have a DAB aerial fitted in the wing mirror but the are pretty cheap and easy to come by even the genuine VW roof ones are only about £30

Welcome fella, don't know about radios etc.
Lets see it then ...... Pics ?
