Alpine Halo 9 call volume very loud

I have had an Alpine Halo 9 in my van for a couple of years, I have updated the firmware in it about 6 months ago whilst diagnosing a connectivity issue that turned out to be the cable I was using to retain the existing USB input.

Since updating the unit the call volume seems to have got stuck on full volume (or very near there), turning the volume in the settings down has still left it very loud . Has anyone come across this issue before?

EDIT - It is both the in call volume and the ringing volume. I have tried turning the volume down whilst in a call as you would adjust the volume of the navigation or music and it is down at one or zero but it is still very loud.
