Alloy wheel width: is 9.5J too wide?

I am looking to fit some 18" 1Form edition.1 alloys to my T28. These seem to come in either 8.5 or 9.5 inch width. I think I should go with the 8.5 width but they're out of stock everywhere. What difference would fitting the 9.5's make? It looks like I could fit the same tyres as the 8.5's so wondering if there is anything else I should bear in mind. Or have I missed something?

You need to know the offsets as well to be able to work out how they'll fit.

9.5 is pretty wide. I think 8.5 would be better.
