Morning All, I have a t6 with the all in deal which I pay monthly for. I’ve just advertised my van for sale and was wondering how this works with a new owner? Am I able to cancel it ? Or am I tied into it for the 2years? It’s not easy trying to get hold of sometimes speak to regarding this I wondered if anyone else has been in this situation??

I have just looked at my T&C's. All I can see is the right to cancel within 14 days and this, about transferring the warranty to a new owner, which I assume you don't want.
I dare say if you have used any item within the plan, such as service, then you will be tied in anyway, just like within any other insurance policy following a claim. Looking at the T&C's it does clearly state the right to cancel expires after 14 days but obviously only VW will be able to confirm. There are phone numbers and e mail addresses on the T&C form if you need them.

I've just bought a Caravelle that was under all in plan. Original owner had to cancel and 3 months later I'm still waiting for the plan to be restarted.

Vw commercial finance team are a joke. They asked for various pieces of information (most of which they had as I gave them the original plan contract number) with about a 3 week gap in between each request. They then sent direct debit forms which I filled in and posted back. Then several weeks passed and they requested a back payment. I questioned why and they kept referring to the contract. Thing is not once have they provided a contract or actually anything covering what I am paying for.

Anyhow as a seller the above is not your problem just let the buyer know they have to continue it.

So you brought it with the service plan still being paid for by the original owner? Yes I’ve tried calling them previously but the number goes through to the financial side and I was just on hold for a long time!!!

The plan is managed by VW Financial so I suppose that is who you need to talk to. I hope they play you nice music whilst on hold.:)

Just to prove nothing changes, I'm trying to transfer an All In plan to the lucky new owner of my T6. A VW van dealer has said it can be transferred but I have to pay the balance. First call to VWFS said there was a balance due of £440 ish but if I paid it off that meant the agreement was finished and therefore couldn't be transferred. I thought that can't be right as I would be giving back a service and MOT at the same time as paying them over £400! Second attempt at VWFS was via e-mail which received a response that they needed all of the information provided in my e-mail in another e-mail to pass their security! Third attempt just via phone where I was told there was nothing to pay and yes the All In policy could be transferred to a new owner of they sent in a copy of the V5 updated with their details. I went through this three times to make sure that I understood what they were saying. I'm still not sure how I could have only made 13 months payments (out of 24) and have nothing to pay with a service and MOT still part of the plan? Is it me? Can anyone provide any advice from experience?

As an update, happy to say that I have finally managed to resolve the transfer of my All In policy to the new owner of my van! It took quite a few phone calls and emails to VW Financial Services and my main dealer but I managed to speak to an excellent customer services person yesterday who confirmed that if I paid the remainder of the plan off, that this could then be transferred to the new owner. It seems that me quoting the T&Cs for the All In policy helped as it confirmed what I was asking for was correct. Both the previous representatives I spoke to gave me different answers neither of which was correct - indeed the very helpful service administrator at my main dealer had similarly incorrect guidance in her manual from VW. So persistence paid off in the end. BTW don't bother with e-mails, VWFS only ever send you the security information request and then nothing.

That’s good to know; I’m considering selling my T6 and there’s about a year left under the all-in.
How did you go about paying the balance? Card? Online?

I paid the balance over the phone by debit card. The excellent customer services lady I spoke with in the final call then sent me an itemised receipt confirming full payment and the remaining entitlement for a service, MOT and VW Assistance. This is really helpful to provide a copy to the new owner of the van as proof that there is the All In Plan in place.
The new owners will then have to apply to transfer the All In Plan to their name by email to [email protected] with a copy of the updated V5 to prove ownership. I've attached a copy of the All In T&Cs from the VW Commercial Vehicles website which I was able to quote - paragraph 9 is the relevant part

Hi

just wanted to double check, I pay the plan monthly so is there an option so the new owner can continue to pay the plan monthly?
Thanks

Hi,

You have to pay off the agreement in full before VW will agree to transfer the All In Plan to a new owner.
Make sure that you quote this part below to a service adviser from VW Financial Services.

9. Transfer of ownership

(a) You may assign this Agreement to any subsequent owners of the Vehicle for the Contract Period provided that You pay all the payments shown on this document before the Agreement is assigned. Once all payments have been received we will agree to the assigning of the Agreement providing that You advise Us in writing following the transfer of ownership and that the purchaser of the Vehicle agrees in writing to Us to be bound by the terms and conditions of this Agreement in every way.

Hope this helps,
Rich.

Thanks for the quick reply, been on the phone to them numerous times over the last week. This has never been mentioned, new owner has to send copies via email of the new V5, and a copy of their driving licence. Then when transfer is done they will need to change payment info, bank details and that.

Happy to help.

It took me 3 separate phone calls over 3 weeks to VWFS to get to the right answer - it was only by quoting their T&Cs to them that they eventually arrived at the right answer.
I also phoned my main dealer - what little information they had was also incorrect!
It doesn't help that there also appear to be two versions of the T&Cs on the VW website depending on where you look.
Even after we had resolved the payment in full, I received a letter telling me the plan was suspended as 'I had missed a payment' - I had to phone VWFS again and explain that I had paid off the plan so that it could be transferred.

It looks like you have received the second answer that I got as well as the fact that there 'was nothing to pay' when I had only paid 12 months out of the 24.
The first answer that I got was that 'if I paid off the plan in full then it would be void and there would be nothing to transfer' which was also completely wrong.

Eventually I did get through to a really great adviser - I quoted the T&Cs to her and she arranged payment and a confirmation e-mail so that I could provide this to the new owner. I would strongly recommend that you ask for an e-mail confirmation of payment.

It's then up to the new owner to submit the updated V5 by e-mail and to confirm ownership and request transfer of the plan to them.

Good luck!

Rich.

Thanks will keep at them.

I've checked to purchase an all in plan for my 20 plate car but it shows I already have one which I never lnew about.. I've only checked as its now due a service and MOT. Do you think that it's been paid off then and it should be a straight forward transfer over to me if I contact VWFS??

I took my T&Cs from the VW Commercial website but I would think it is likely that the same applies to cars - might be worth checking the VW cars website as well. But if their system says there is a plan in place, it's worth checking with VWFS. Phone them though, don't bother trying to e-mail in the first instance as you get a standard security information request bounce back and then hear nothing more.

Just done this with my old van and all in plan. New owner had to send copies of v5 and license. Easier if it’s all paid in full I think as otherwise involves transfer of finance. Mine was paid in full.

The all in plan is a finance agreement between the vehicle owner and VW Financial Services. In order for it to be transferred, the original owner has to pay off the agreement in full before transfer (as per the T&Cs part 9) can be authorised subject to the new owner making an application and submitting a copy of the updated V5 to confirm ownership.
