Alcar Steel Wheels

Been searching about to get some winter tyres on steel rims, Mr Tyres seem to be doing a reasonable tyre / rim combo and with half term approaching I'm running out of options.

Looking at getting Nokian WR A4's

I assume they are legally required to sell the right rims for the vehicle? They are for a T6 Caravelle, so they aren't going on a van carry heavy weights.

Anyone with any experience of these? Offset is 55 as opposed to 56 on my current wheels.

Also what wheel bolts would I need to get (not googled that yet!).

these are perhaps the best non-original .... they are only a millimeter more external .. better if you have to mount snow chains .....

I already have the bolts for the iron rims .... they have the floating collar..serve to tighten to 18 kg the wheels, I think the bolts for the aluminum rims are different ... informed ..

I've got a set of brand new(with the car from factory) 16" steel rims if you're interested and I can also provide needed tyres.
Although as I'm in Estonia transport might be difficult.

Thanks for the offer but I'm not sure they would fit, looks like not much space even with 17" around the discs.

Got a weird reply from MyTyres today trying to order wheels and tyres:

Regretfully, the model of your vehicle is not currently listed, this is due to the fact that there is no confirmation from the car manufacturer regarding this or because the steel wheels and tyres sets are not in stock for now. Thank you for your understanding. Your mytyres.co.uk Team

Even gave the offset for the current wheels etc - hey ho getting a quote from somewhere else now

Clearly don’t want your business. Responses like that always make me glad that it gives me the opportunity to give my cash to someone who deserves it.

If the rims were out of stock then "when do you need your wheels/tyres for" might have been a good question to ask!
