Advice please: Cambelt/Water pump change

hi all,

I recently posted that VW have changed their above for a cambelt change at 125K miles only, with no time limit.
My van (T6.1, T32, converted, Dec 19, 150/DSG) is coming out of warranty soon.
So advice please - would you get this (Cambelt/pump) changed soon or not? What's your experiences with cambelts and how long do they *actually* go before I need to consider a change?

Too many variables to give a concrete answer as to the likely lifespan of a belt on a specific vehicle.

Suffice to say at 7 years id be thinking about getting it done, a fair compromise period between cost and caution.

Its easy for VW to suggest there is no age limit because it wont be them paying for the damage if it were to fail. No, itll be the likes of me and thee that get anally invaded, so make your decision on that basis alone.
