So if anyone saw my other post, I've been looking at T6.1s with a view to do a conversion myself. I'm serving overseas in Germany and found i could get one VAT free in the UK and bring it back to convert here. Meanwhile, someone else in the Brit community is selling a really nice low mileage (45k) 2016 T6, and would accept an offer close to 30k.
Initially I thought it would be better to get a T6.1, as could probably get a low mileage one for around 26k, but completely blank canvas.
This one, ok it's not my style at the moment, but it's only cosmetic. Underneath, it's low mileage 6 speed (I think 150ps) T6, already has a pop top, a drive up awning, it's fully converted.
Even if I treated this as a blank canvas, I think it's a good price, and whilst there's many elements of the conversion I'd change and improve (firstly the colour scheme and change the blue pop top canvas), it seems like a really good offer?
My alternative is hold out for a blank T6.1 in the UK, with DSG... Is that really worth it?
