Hi, I've seen a van thats looks great and I adore the interior. However, it has So low coils on it and is lowered. I'm middled aged and don't like the idea of going over pot holes and speed humps with such little ground clearance. I also feel the lowered look doesn't soon my middled aged vibe. Folks, how easy is this to changed and get the van back to its original height? does it cost thousands for new coils and fitting etc?? thanks in advance for any knowledge you have.

Welcome!

There are a few highly recommended specialists @BognorMotors and @CRS Performance to name a couple they’re a bit of a trek from Londinium!

These places are removing lots of shocks and springs from vans often with low mileage if you are happy with second hand.

My best guesstimate for replacing with new quality components giving a normal ride height is circa £1K

That said they’re not special, just like car suspension but beefier. If you have a trusted local mechanic then go have a chat.

Edited to say big wheels (over 18”) and ultra low profile tyres also have an impact on ride. Its the package of springs, shocks, wheels and tyres that give the desired ride quality and where the experts named above can best advise. If you’re just going to revert to OEM suspension then your local indy can do that.

Find out what tyres (sizes) are on it. I'd argue it would/could be better than standard suspension unless it has daft low profile tyres on.

And they look so much better lowered a bit.

62M, 60mm lowered, 235/55/18.
