Adblue question

Hello all.
I have just bought a 2019 T6 kombi. It is my first vehicle with Adblue.
I noticed a couple of days after I got it that the Adblue miles was showing “- - -“.
I took it to my local VW commercial dealer and they took a look and plugged it into their diagnostics and said that it had been overfilled. They couldn’t sort it out there and then so I said I’d arrange to take it back at a later date. In the meantime, I needed to disconnect the battery whilst doing some work on the van. When I reconnected it, I noticed that the Adblue now shows “0 miles”.
I think it has plenty of Adblue in it. When I first saw the “- - -“ on the MFD I tried to fill it up and managed to get about 1 litre in before it overflowed. Also, the van seems to run fine.
Can anyone advise if this looks like the Adblue has been coded out? Would the VW dealer have been able to see this?
I would rather have the van running as standard. The cost of Adblue doesn’t seem too extortionate and I’d like to do my bit for the planet! 😁
Equally, if it has been coded out due to a fault that is going to cost me a small fortune, I’ll leave well alone.
Thanks for any suggestions or comments.
Cheers
Peter

This would be a case of read the manual for your new van before filling stuff, over filling the adblue is a common error and the subject of many threads here.

---- in the AdBlue range normally indicates that the vans been mapped and the AdBlue deleted.

If it's over filled, you need to pump a few litres out. And see if the range resets.

But I'm fairly sure the ---- is the result of AdBlue delete.

Maybe @Dav-Tec can confirm?

Adblue mileage on VWT6 2019 said 5000 and never moved for months so I put 10 litres of Adblue in …Getting back to London from Cornwall the engine warning light came on ..P20EEOO code came up on diagnostic ..catalyst efficiency below threshold…my mechanic is sorting it out now..this problem with Adblue is very common in U.K. and Europe

Catalyst efficiency issues aren't anything to do with adblue.
