Adblue cap stuck

Hi All

Anyone had the problem of getting the Adblue cap off. It just keeps turning and clicking and won’t come undone. Was fine last time around. Any ideas on how to get it to release. Not sure if the mechanism n the cap is worn or not. It’s a high mileage van, so that could be the case.

Wash with plenty warm water.

I spent about 10 mins in the service station trying all sorts of techniques to get it off. As I say I didn’t have a problem last time. Something has changed. I will try dowsing in hot water to see if that does the trick.

Well, I managed to get it off in the end. I had to take a large adjustable spanner to it which enabled me to really lean on it to get the mechanism to grip. Dowsed with hot water first.

The threads were gummed up with crystals.

Long term solutions:

1. New cap on order.
2. Avoid spillage on threads and wipe off if it does occur.
3. Do not do up tight!
