Just washed my van and noticed a problem with the front cap on my Multirail.
It is coming adrift as the double sided sticky pad is failing to keep it stuck down.
It was fitted from new by the converter (only a few weeks old - March 2023).
Can any one advise what make it is?
Is it normal for the front cap to be held with just a sticky pad?
Any recommendation on a better solution, as currently it’s not going to last much longer?
I would rather just deal with it myself as the converter is a 300 mile round trip.

Yes, that's the norm. They come with double sided tape. The cap at the other end is the same. Sikaflex will give a better bond.

Thanks @Deaky
Thats a bit crap. What type of Sikaflex would be best?
I assume it’s just a case of continuing to peel of the front cap from where it has failed, clean off the double side tape, then bond with a smidge of the Sikaflex, using a bit of tape to hold it in place whilst it cures, if that’s even necessary?

Removed the front cap totally this morning, cleaned off all the chewing gum tape and then put it back on with some black TigerSeal.
Used TigerSeal purely on availability and cost rather than Sikaflex.
Masked off the area before working and used gloves, but there was still a little bit of oozing to clear up.
Found Babywipes worked really well for the clean up.
Hopefully this will hold better once it’s set.
