Yes I cleared the faults and drove about 60-80miles this week. It was a city drive. No change. I think it’s something wrong with wires/connections.

Today the LIN wire was fixed.
Then I managed to unplug the 38pin connector without dismantling anything and sprayed some contact cleaner inside. When I put it back on and switched on the ignition the ABS lights came back. Terminal 15 was off again. Then I measured voltage on pin 6 and it was present. After unplugging and plugging in the connector for a few times terminal 15 was still off. All the previous faults U0416 and U1122 are gone though. I started to think that something is wrong either with the 38pin connector or the ABS unit. I got back home and searched for a used connector on ebay. When I compared photos of my connector and a used one that I’ve found I’ve noticed that one part of my current connector appears to have been broken. It was defo before my intervention.

Does anyone know what does this little red thing do? I’m wondering could it be that this thing helps keep the connection between the ABS unit and 38pin tight. Probably not… I’m now thinking of ordering a used connector; unpinning all the female terminals; checking them for corrosion and replacing the connector. If it doesn’t work then I’ll get another ABS unit. Is there anything else I should try before that?

Hi guys, a quick update. I’ve fixed Terminal 15 — it’s now constantly on. The issue might have been due to a poor crimp on my part. There were some CAN bus faults present, so I tested CAN bus voltage and resistance — everything looked fine.
I went to a specialist with ODIS online and asked him to try flashing the ABS unit as chatGPT suggested, but he didn’t want to risk it due to the CAN bus issues. He referred me to the main dealer.
At the main dealer, they followed the test plan, confirmed that the CAN bus is working correctly, and told me the next step would be to replace the ABS unit.
I took the van back and swapped the ESC unit with my old one (just three screws). Now things are looking more promising — the ESC light is still on, but it’s showing a different fault. VCDS shows the CAN bus is functioning. And Stop-start is working not hill assist though. It seems like there’s a software mismatch beteween ESC and ECU.
I’ve booked it in for a software update via ODIS online on May 20. Will post another update soon.
