A Pillar Builds

Made a start on my a pillar builds today ......a little off axis to what i'd ideally like but i feel they would have been too intrusive.

Stage 2....

Body filler applied today and a bit of sanding. Few circles where they need more work but not too far off being done.

That looks good can't wait to see them fully finished. What was the material in the second picture?

Speaker cloth, then add resin, fiberglass then body filler......the blue in the back is resin mixed with fiberglass filler for strength.

More work on these today ........more sanding and some fine filler and they should be done tomorrow apart from covering them.

All done apart from trimming them.

Thanks buddy......i'm not 100% sure on them yet but we'll see when they are trimmed and fitted with the speakers.

Cheers mate, they are not wired in and will not be for a while.....or the mids anyway. Heated mirrors come on with heated screen

I was just going to ask how you wired up the mids lol.

Front screen or rear screen? Coded with vcds?

Not really my thing, but theres no doubting the ingenuity and quality of the finished item. Far better than I could manage with my array of hammers.

Barn door mate so no heated elements there.
