If you are thinking of where to go then I can well recommend southern Germany.
We are 3/4 of the way through our 5 week trip in our “Grand Crafter” which is performing fabulously- twin Maxxair fans are pretty much controlling the 31deg temps here (one in one out).

We started off through the tunnel and stopped overnight at Lille. Did a little motorcycle business nearby and then onto Germany.
As a quick guide, we travelled along the Mosel Valley- mile after mile after mile of beautiful vineyards- then over to the Romantic Road, F8B88E42-983F-4387-A25F-DFDEE548C5AC.jpeg74525F9A-F2E1-43AE-A4F7-4709EBB5004F.jpeg6130BE9C-AA2C-4D7C-BE07-77FE5F7EAB57.jpeg5AFA39C7-9A08-4BF8-A511-FA1A5F9E4A93.jpegE1E3FF86-42FF-4760-B151-2A02172D6A8F.jpegC9705267-9D23-4FDF-9669-92E32ACB5C34.jpegE8604065-BE55-4EE3-BB69-148FBEE2A0A3.jpegE8604065-BE55-4EE3-BB69-148FBEE2A0A3.jpegCFDD17AD-3893-4B65-A0B3-D9F199763F77.jpeg0B05CC63-A1DD-40DB-8F85-406E692153BB.jpeg73361D70-4A0B-4407-BBD5-75FF3E64806D.jpegand down to Austria, Switzerland and back via France.
We are now in the Black Forest gently winding our way home.

The place is empty of foreign tourists, and we’ve only seen four or five Brits so far.

Here’s some pics to help inspire you.

Absolutely amazing , we're hoping to go later in the year for 3 weeks. Can't wait

So far we’ve planned four days in Luxembourg as we have a concert to go to So we might take two days out now and go down the Moselle Valley (thanks for your suggestion) then back up to Luxembourg for the concert.

Then onto Karlsruhe (daughter went to uni there) … then down to Black Forest to see the Cuckoo clocks before heading over to Bavaria then down to Innsbruck and Neiderau valley (been there before) then we’ll head west through Austria and onto Switzerland before heading home.

Sounds fabulous, enjoy

Absolutely beautiful country, I had the pleasure of being based there for 19 years and left in 2019. I’d give anything to be back there.

Fantastic photos! Any campsite recommendations? Just booked our Eurotunnel - doing 3 weeks, France > Italy > Germany/Black forest area. We’ll have the dogs with us though so looking for dog friendly sites but we can’t wait!
