4motion Dsg And Braking Tests

Hi all,

Couldn't see this in the manual and a "down the pub" chat with someone where his golf 4 motion jumped off the rollers got me thinking.

Our car tests/MOT - (I'm not in UK)require the front and rear to be run independently on a rolling road for several minutes with different brake applications.

How would the 4 motion system see this situation?

When my A8 gets tested, the MOT centre is supposed to perform a road test to check the brakes.
A pass normally involves them driving onto the ramp and making sure it doesn't drive off the other end!

4M DSG driven onto rollers, then put in neutral. Test performed.

Then driven onto next axle and restested in neutral.?

Some testers take 4wd vehicles out on the road with a brake test meter sat on the floor.

That's exactly my thoughts so rather confused at the comment of coming off the rollers, suspected he was talking shit.

Never had a problem with my Golf 4Motion, just needs to be in neutral.

My Elise's are to low to fit in the rollers so the MOT chap takes them for a quick drive. He normally enjoys this and therefore more likely to pass them.
