Hi ,I have a t6.1 that's got standard steels on ,I'm thinking going 21 inch alloys with not sure about tyres yet 🤔
Do 21's go and look ok?

Welcome , also factor in the comfort or lack of with that comes along with low profile tyres ....cracked rims etc from potholes and little side walls.
Plenty of people run 20's ....and lots of these have downsized for comfort reasons .

That's the thing ,I don't want low profiles..as had caddy previously with low profiles and suspension etc and was a pain .
Because of the huge gap between the steels/tyres to arch ,was wondering best size really for wheel/tyre combo to fill the arch more

If you don't want low profiles you should forget 21" rims, you wouldn't fit them under the arches without low profile tyres.

Get Steve @CRS Performance to fit decent lower suspension and you'll lose the trousers at half mast look VW chose to go with.
This is us on modest 18s,
H&R coilovers and bath tub pop top.

The down side of 20 to 21" just makes this a bridge too far ,in my opinion .

There are so many opinions on this , it will blow your mind and confuse , but generally common sense will prevail

21 inch hardly looks different to 20 but when the wheels start cracking it will get to you . you loose valuable side wall in the tyre and that only leads to rough ride and issues with wheels bending and cracking .
