Purchased an interior led lights upgrade kit, changed the step lights and the boot lights first which were all traditional halogen bulbs. Then discovered the front map reading lights were already LED, as well as the passenger lights in the roof lining and the courtesy lights are too. Mine is a 2019, I guess VW decided to fit LED bulbs to some of the interior lights but not all.

My point is, check which bulbs you actually need before purchasing a kit.

Sounds like a For Sale post is brewing

Hi Nick, How do you access Caravelle boot lightbulbs, does the lens just pop out or do you need to remove the panel that the light unit sits in, cheers in advance, Skip

Hi Skip, I found them to be the easiest, I just levered the light units out with a plastic trim tool. Once you work out which side has the spring clip holding it in it’s easy, no need to remove the trim panels, that would be a real pain as the trim clips usually break!

Good luck with it.

Nick
