Recently just brought a 2019 t30 and wanting to upgrade the standard 16” steels. I have a set of 17” older original steels with 245/65/17 general grabbers on that I have tried to fit but they were too big and were catching on the wish bone. Can’t decided weather go for a new set of 235 or 225 instead as wanting to avoid all rubbing but still fill out the wheel arch.IMG_3830.webp

Is your van low then ?

Im down about 50mm with 235/65/17 and no rubbing.

Dont really want to push the wheel out past the arch as I know that can cause issues with passing MOTs. Also not sure what you mean by moving it?
It's not an MOT fail, I've had testers try and fail for tyres sticking out past the arches and there isn't (or wasn't at the time of the test) and option in the computer system to fail or advise on protruding tyres

I always thought it had to be less than an inch , anymore and it was a fail .
Dunno where I got that info though 🤷‍♂️

The MOT manual does not specify how far a tyre can protrude beyond the wheel arch, but the tread must not extend beyond the arch to comply with con and use regs
