12v Mood/ Ambient Lighting

Hi Guys,

I am getting to a stage where I am going to bite the bullet and pull the interior panels off to start insulating, sound deadening, laying in wires for the 240v and 12v sockets as well as the ceiling lights......I was also thinking it would be lovely to have on another circuit a 12v roof hugging mood light system......but I am getting conflicting views from Google.

Obviously I will be powering it off the 'to be installed' leisure battery, but the voltage on these varies above and below 12v, depending on state of charge. Are their colour LED Strip lights people have used in the past that work via a remote to change the colour for that perfect moment?

And another question.....what has been the best way to mount them in the ceiling?

Looking forward to hearing your views and results.

Thanks

Matt

They will all come with a controller which can be connected straight to the battery. I've never had a problem with the supply being slightly over 12v. Go for one that is RF control then you don't have to 'point' the remote at a sensor. The LED tape comes with a sticky back. It never seems to stick that well. I'll be fitting mine into an aluminium channel with a diffuser cover over

@Deaky that looks cool.....now need a place to hide it!.....and work out what leads I need to connect it all up :) Thanks mate
