12v Battery charge very low. The infortainment system will be switched off.

I just bought this 21 plate T6, and after a 300 mile journey this message came on when i turned engine off.
Do I need a new battery? Its still under warranty so Ill need to be quick!
Could it be something else?

If the starter battery is low you will get this message. I would have thought that after a 300 mile journey the battery should have recharged so may be goosed perhaps after being deeply discharged. If you have a volt meter that would confirm the message is correct and then have the battery checked/replaced.

Was it the first time you saw the message?

The alternator looks after the electrics when the engine is running.

Check everything. Check the tension on the drive belt, check the battery connections. Use a multimeter after the van hasn't been driven for at least an hour, ideally first thing in the morning.
