Didn’t manage to get the fault code from the dealer but Carista showed 31103 as the fault code which looks like it could be something to do with the NOx sensor possibly? I still cannot see how they are saying this isn’t related to the engine flush.

The intake manifold flap is controlled by an actuator which is vacuum operated, check the small hose that feeds it, check the actuator moves as the flap can carbon up and if that is the case will need a replacement manifold.

There is only one fault code stored: 31103 is VW equivalent of OBD-standard P20EE. Without warning light on dash there is nothing to worry.
