Retrofit PDC - any one done it with the kit from carsystems.eu?

regurgitating my post from the California forum. My 2017 Cali Ocean (spec'd for Denmark market, sold in Germany, now in Slovenia!) didn't come with Parking sensors. After some discussion and threads on here, I took the plunge and bought a kit from carsystem.eu in Poland, and received what...

Van electrics upgrade - Shopping list sense check?

@digitalsteve1970 Hi Steve, Yes, I installed all of my gear back in March/April in good time for my 10 days over in the IoM for the TT. As you know, I have an All Seasons van as well, also using the EC700 consumer unit and control system, plus I did have the PX300 shore charger. I replaced the...

Help needed if you have a Horizon / HiLo roof fitted with a solar panel.

Ours runs along this route, you can see the cable then from the inside as it goes into the van.

Help needed if you have a Horizon / HiLo roof fitted with a solar panel.

If you have a Horozn or HoLo roof fitted, I would be grateful of you could tell me the route that the cables take from the solar panel and down into the van. Thanks in advance.

Amp and DSP for Gladen speakers

Hi Following the advice I found on this forum, I changed my T6.1 oem front door speakers for a pair of Gladen One, and also did a throrough 3 tier sound deadening of the doors. I have no sub nor back speakers. The result is much better, my ears don't hurt anymore ;) But still, I find the highs...

Route from solar panel to behind the ply between the C and D pillars?

Ah. To be honest that’s the route I meant. My line drawing skills (on the phone) are not as good as yours. Haha, your welcome to come and supervise. In fact Its just stopped peeing down. I might put the pop top up now for a look.

Route from solar panel to behind the ply between the C and D pillars?

You can route behind here. What I meant was, it's easier to feed conduit/cable up from wheel arch area to the first hole and then loop on and pull cable down. So you can route a pull cable all the way down but it can be tricky to get it out at the right there below the horizontal bit (the blank...

Route from solar panel to behind the ply between the C and D pillars?

i did think of this but I doubt it will work. The ply board is fixed there and the cables would push it out and then push the furniture out unfortunately. I might need to drill a hole in the horizontal metal bar.

Route from solar panel to behind the ply between the C and D pillars?

Just go red route then over the horizontal metalwork (depending on thickness of cables).

VANMAX PopTop -- Awesome, then gone, now back again !! --

Add me to the list of Vanmax roof owners. I must say I absolutely love this roof and for me the selling point is its low-profile appearance making it invisible to the untrained eye. I've had some people ask me if I'll be getting a pop-top fitted! 🤣 when and where did you get your floor...

Route from solar panel to behind the ply between the C and D pillars?

It will depend on the construction of the poptop frame and how it’s mounted to the vehicle. Can you not just pop the 2 panels off and see if there is a suitable route? You will need to do that to feed the cables anyhow as any route will be pretty torturous. I have a wardrobe in my van so...

    Skyline Pop Top Halo Roof

Thanks for your reply. I have a solar panel too, I fitted all the electrics in my van and have run the majority of the cables through the framing within the beams for the poptop. What confuses me is running the wiring for the LEDs within the halo to the hinge point of the bifold bed base as...

    Skyline Pop Top Halo Roof

Im not sure if its helpful but the fitter did ask me if I wanted a solar panel. I have a Ctek 250se under the seat and recently put in a lithium battery. I connected the solar input to the Ctek in case I wanted to use it in future so wouldnt need to remove the seat. The reason it may be related...

Route from solar panel to behind the ply between the C and D pillars?

Basically I'm going to install the cables for a solar panel. Before I start taking panels off I wanted to know if there is a route from behind the pop top panel labelled 1 to behind the panel labelled 2. Or do I have to go down the C pillar? Thanks
