Skyline Pop Top Halo Roof

Hi all, has anyone on here had the LED halo roof fitted that Skyline are now offering? Im interested in having it retrofitted to my Aurora and wanted to see some more photos of the set up before parting with any cash. I have reached out to Skyline already but they are very slow in replying, if I get a reply at all!

Thank you in advance.

I would be interested also. There is a fitter local to me who seems well regarded and is now installing these. Had a chat with him and he is claiming the quality is excellent so I am doing some research before pressing the button. Any experience would be helpful.

I still haven heard anything back from Skyline. My concern is how a power cable gets to the bigger section of the bifold bed. I may of come up with a different solution of making my own halo style rod now though. Need to find some time to make a bit of a mock up before going to get all the bits!

Im not sure if its helpful but the fitter did ask me if I wanted a solar panel. I have a Ctek 250se under the seat and recently put in a lithium battery. I connected the solar input to the Ctek in case I wanted to use it in future so wouldnt need to remove the seat. The reason it may be related is he offered to route cables along the roof within the frame of the roof (I think within the "apron" area that is then carpeted) which would indicate there is a route. Apologies if I have totally misunderstood you...

Thanks for your reply. I have a solar panel too, I fitted all the electrics in my van and have run the majority of the cables through the framing within the beams for the poptop. What confuses me is running the wiring for the LEDs within the halo to the hinge point of the bifold bed base as you'd need to have a cable running from somewhere near the C or D pillars to the back end of the LED strip.

My plan for the DIY Solution currently doest have this problem though and the lights would shine from the outside edge of the ceiling towards the middle of the van, like the more traditional Halo roofs you see instead of the Skyline option of having it shine from the bed board towards the van edge.

Yes looks ok with the light off but looks cheap with them on and the lights aren’t hidden they are really cheap Chinese the cheapest you could find and in my opinion should be fitted on the lower side instead of the top corner where you see the lights and not the halo from them if you know what I mean , doesn’t look great like the others on the market where the lights aren’t on show , I wouldn’t recommend skyline at all
