A proper apple cable helped but it was still sketchy. In the end I replaced it with a kenwood head unit with wireless carplay! And then more recently sold the T6! Sorry it's not a cheap fix.

Most are on the board before this, so we are a few days off getting a very similar fw version to this. Have you got the T6 and colour selection top and bottom yet? If you haven't then that's coming to you in the next fw in the next few days too.

Did anyone solve anything here? I have a Skoda Yeti (part of the VW group) and have installed a Kenwood 8021DABS. Within a few minutes it is tracking 20m off where I am on wireless carplay. Wired it is fine. My fitter said the antenna is just in the middle, above the actual unit.

Kenwood dmx9720xds has the best screen on the market, super easy to use, wireless Apple CarPlay, android auto but it’s a bit chunky Alpine halo 905/11 , not so easy to use , slightly harder to install, but better sounding, more powerful. And sits better on the dash

Kind of, I have the digital dash and being able to bung the nav over to the dash screen whilst being able to leave the head unit for music/entertaining the child would be an advantage. It's not a shoe stopper given the price point.

Hmmm, I don't have an HDMI port on the back of the case. Mine has wireless casting rather than carplay. It didn't come with any additional pcb but i can't remember if there's an HDMI breakout lead in the wiring loom. Mine is out of my van at the moment so I'll take a look when I get home...
