Question for @Dellmassive if I may.
I have a T6 Shuttle and have an AGM leisure battery under the driver's seat, to charge phones, power 12v lights and to run a Vevor diesel heater. I have the Solar Suitcase from Renogy, which works great. To charge the leisure battery when driving, is the...
...on a 5A protected feed.
Assuming all relays are the same.
Personally, if I was going to do something like this, I’d use a single ignitionlivefeed to switch a relay that provided a larger permanent livefeed to a relay/fuse board with individual switches for each consumer.
That way the...
Nice!
Purple should be correct and it should be the same on both doors - that is, there's no LHD/RHD differences and it doesn't matter from which door the purple is tapped in to.
First I would check that ACC (ignitionlive) to the module is really off - LOCK and UNLOCK module inputs do not...
The pins tested ans gave good result. There is one pin in the black connector im the module that gives out barely 4v. Guess thats thats the signal. But an update: Bought some electro cleaner and sprayed it in ever connection i could found connected to the trailer socket. Now i get the trailer...
@Dave Lawson - I have not ignitionlive connected on mine. No operating problems. I spoke to Albemarle and told them my set up, they replied I did not to connect a ignitionlive.
Inspired by another member, I've bought a cheapish camera to record any 'events' at the back (fixed to the rear screen via the usual suction cup type mount). The camera came with a long power cable with a 12V cigarette lighter plug at one end and a Mini USB at the other (which goes into the...
So, on testing, the voltage with the ignition on dropped to less than 11v. This wasn’t enough to trigger the lightstrip. I didn’t really investigate this any further but think this could be for a number of reasons. I have after market lights into which I have fitted LED bulbs. I believe the...
So today I have been tinkering with my towing socket and thought this might be useful info in a post for others.
My van is a MY21 T6.1 Caravelle with full towing electrics from factory. (Edited to add mine is a single battery system)
This is my experimental 13 pin plug. There are 4 grain of...
Hi Dell,
Spot on, Dcdc charger is the way to go so I'm into but have 1 question.
What is the output from the alternator on 2016 T6?
I need to size the cable from the alternator/starter battery to my 30A dcdc charger. Mine is at the back of the van so around a 7m cable run which will be under...
...has a built in BMS)
PV Isolator (double pole)
Isolator switches for leisure battery, solar and starter battery
Piggy back fuse for ignitionlivefeed
300A Negative and Positive Bus bars
Rated cables throughout and lots of fuses (ANL, mini ANL, Midi & blade)
Junked:
AGM 80Ah battery
Durite...
...I tested all three with a meter and they are all OK.
It is the AC/DC charging circuit that has gone bad - it blew my fuse on the ignitionlivefeed used to trickle charge it and now it does nothing at all.
However, it does still charge via the USBC PD mains charger but this is only 60W vs...
Thanks. I hadn't thought of that way about doing it. I even used that middle row the other day too, to hardwire in my dashcam.
Electrics are not my strongpoint, haha
Thanks again
Cheers for all the previous info on this thread guys/gals. Think I’ve managed to get it done and working correctly
finished product. Off with ignition off.
usb with ignition on. Can be isolated by the button too
the tiniest of trimming with scalpel to fit new socket
piggyback fuse...

Thanks for this! I had a suspicion that it might have a “trickle” draw. Time to go back through this thread and look at making it an “ignitionlive” or, better still, getting an ignitionlivefeed and introducing a new USB feed in a different location.
Thanks again for your response
Screen is decent at that I’d say and what it gives you on cold mornings
Mines got more dints and scratches at the front and sides. Doesn’t help being a soft red colour! I do miss the captain passenger seat but now I only need 3 seats I’m sticking with me bench.
Hopefully get it insulated and...
