    DPF regen

...the same 110 5 speed 6.1. I took the doggo a walk today, when I got back home the revs were at 1000 rpm and it smelled 'warm'. Yep, doing a regen! I set the trip to zero at that point, my regens kick in every 140-180 miles, so I have an idea when the next one is due. Back to today, I took...

    Help with regen

Hi hopefully someone can help me I had my dpf cleaned all put together, but problem is now when it regents it takes so long it’s unbelievable. Also when I’m stationary the regen stops, where before it kept regen to a certain point. Any ideas. Vw t6 2017 102

    EML ; GLOW PLUG CYLINDER 1 P067100

...one in a couple of weeks. I'd just like to know if by deleting the EML showing the fault using my OBD11, will the ECU continue to allow any regens. As I understand if the EML light is illuminated for whatever reason regens are stopped, resulting in a blocked DPF . By simply deleting the...

    Oil Ash Residue Limit

...half empty. A "long journey" definition to me is more than 1 hour running on mostly motorway between 100kph & 120kph. The trigger to start the regen seems to be 24g (80%) of soot measured and when finished it is at 5.6g (20%) of soot measured. After each regen I noted the Oil Ash Residue...

    Bluetooth dongle to monitor DPF

...adjusting which measured "Soot mass calc" is your 100%. In settings it's this option. Just keep it on your android auto and when it starts regen the icon for soot mass calc and regen duration go red. There is also a setting for it to make a sound when it starts and stops, may be enabled by...

Furthest distance gone when range says 0 miles

It’s an entertaining question - I’m sure we’ve all crawled into a petrol station “on vapour” before. I did read somewhere that it’s better to not let the T6 drop below a quarter tank to maintain the efficiency of the regens and DPF. (Equally, I could have imagined that!)

    DPF Regen Frequency

...miles, full camper conversion. I only do shortish journeys and never had any issues with the DPF as I monitor with Carista and always let the regen complete even if it means going a slightly longer way home. Before its second service, the Regens were regularly starting every 100-120 miles...

DPF Regen Until Soot Level >8g

Oh, I can’t see the details about the update, where are those? how do I go about getting it updated? Thanks

    Oil Ash Residue Limit

Regen while driving is not as exhaustive as stationery as the engine revs are not constant with traffic, in my experience the stationery regen will clear it to very nearly 0. Is a bit nerve wrecking with the engine revving high and the exhaust temp 600+.

DPF Regen Frequency / Issues / Force discussion.

Just an update, as I was driving I could see the regen happening on the Carisma app. It was at 12.5gm as I went round a roundabout, the fuel light came on and the fuel injection stopped immediately. So some do some dont.

DPF monitor - how to read

Well that was exciting! ¼ tank of fuel, less than 2000rpm (60 on a dual carriageway) so that's those myths out the way. 17 minutes for regen.

Not seen a DPF regen in 8 months of ownership?

...It’s a late 2015 build so unfortunately has the rev C egr which I’m looking to get rid of asap. Question is I have never seen it do a dpf regen since I bought it. We have driven from Sydney to Perth with it fully loaded as we relocated and at no point did i see a lift in revs/ smoke from the...

Frequent DPF regen related to boost leak

...suggest to me that there's some sort of leak, but I want to get some smoke through it first. Whatever it is, it is affecting the way the DPF regens - so perhaps there is an EGR fault. It will show around 45%, trigger a regen and jump to 100% full. I'm not getting any warning lights and the...

    What/how does regeneration work?

This ☝️ If it wasn't for the app, in regular use you would probably never notice a passive regen

    Apologies but Adblue question

Any suggestions to the problem guys? I have noticed its not done a regen for a while. Would that have any bearing on the Adblue? I know all emissions systems tend to be interlinked?

DPF Regen Until Soot Level >8g

Based on your screenshot the engine was doing it's regen - red DPF + timer. As the pressure depends on air flow, higher revs make the numbers look worse. The DPF has obviously reached the point where no amount of regenning can clear it. Of course the root cause of clogging has to be...

The DAUA of doom. You've never seen this fault.

...your issue but I did pick up from the log that the DPF is pretty blocked with ash.... IDE06059Particulate filter: oil ash mass157.87 g IDE06060Particulate filter ash load limit110 g and it looks like it is due for a regen based on the soot level, and distance since last...

    Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Location

...up. Temperature after 2 hours drive on the highway changing wildly every second between 64 and 95 degrees (as seen on the dashboard). BTW regen is still happening as usual every about 300 Km, when sooth approaches 30. Means bad temperature read not yet affecting regen IMO. VW said drive it...

Diesel Knock - Driving me insane! HELP!

This could be totally unrelated but I have a 1.6tdi Audi A1. When it wants to regen I get diesel knock as though it is throwing a load of fuel in to get the temperature up and while it is regenerating is can not be driven at low revs over wise it “kangaroo’s”. Keep the revs higher that 1500 rpm...
